Handpoked tattoos (also known as stick n’ pokes) are tattoos made without the use of tattoo machines. While they are created with the same supplies as machine-made tattoos, handpoke artists push needle and ink into the skin manually. Poke by Poke!

Some folks find this technique to be easier on the senses as it is quieter and usually less painful than the machine

Machine-made tattoos are far more popular than handpoke tattoos, but have only been in practice at Hard Easy since 2023. This allows for larger and faster tattoo projects

Some folks prefer handpoke tattoos since the machine can be more painful and the sound/vibrations can overload the nervous system. Others prefer their tattoo to be over as fast as possible!

Most of the tattoos in the Hard Easy Gallery were outlined with a machine and shaded with handpoked dots. This technique was implemented to introduce machine into my practice while holding onto my handpoke roots

This method has been a favorite amongst clients as it results in a quality tattoo with unique style that you won’t see in just any tattoo!

As of now, I offer primarily illustrative tattoos. The subject matter I tattoo usually surrounds plants, fruits and vegetables, animals, sea life, insects, stained glass windows and sentimental items. These are always interpreted in my unique style!

Other times you’ll see me tattoo my signature wavy abstract lines and shapes. I also adore tattooing references and characters from the beloved cartoon, Adventure Time!

My tattoos are always done in black ink only with grey values for shading.
